Who we are?

Established in April 1998, Jimano's Pizzeria was opened by Jimmy and Anna OBerto in Waukegan, Illinois. Jimmy decided to leave his corporate finance career and pursue the American dream of owning and operating his own business.

The restaurant business was natural progression for Jimmy and Anna since they had both worked in the food service industry while earning their Business degrees.

They successfully opened five Jimano's Pizzerias. The stores included in Waukegan (April 1998), Gurnee (November 1999), Round Lake Beach (August 2002), Scottsdale, Arizona (October 2003) and Romeoville (March 2004).

Franchise expansion in the past several years has included the conversion of all the company owned stores excluding Scottsdale to franchise stores as well as the opening of multiple franchise locations in Antioch, Mundelein, Kenosha, McHenry and Fox River Grove, Illinois.

Jimano's Pizzeria is a quick serve restaurant serving pizza, pasta, ribs, sandwiches, salads and more. We pride ourselves in serving a wide variety of menu items that are sure to please the entire family.

Our focus is primarily delivery and carry-out. However, Jimano's Pizzeria floor plans are designed with small dining rooms to accommodate up to twenty guests.

Do I need previous restaurant or pizza-making experience to qualify?

As in any endeavor, experience is an added bonus. However, it is not a requirement for owning and operating a Jimano's Pizzeria franchise.

We understand that your success is our success. Therefore, we have established our initial Franchise Fee at only $25,000 and royalties at 4%. In addition, we have built in an incentive for our franchisees. For units with seating for up to 75, 4 % of Gross Sales per month up to $75,000 and 1% of Gross Sales for monthly sales in excess of $75,000. For units with seating for more than 75, 4% of Gross Sales per month up to $85,000 and 1% of Gross Sales for monthly sales in excess of $85,000

These modest royalties allow you to keep a greater percentage of gross profits.
